Meet Natalie

Natalie’s music career began in 2016 with the release of my first solo project, an EP titled Static that she wrote, performed, recorded, edited, mixed and published for a class project in high school. It was within this project that she learned to use a commercial DAW (Logic Pro X), how to edit and comp vocals, and how scary it is to publish your own work.

   From 2020 to 2024, Natalie attended Appalachian State University and received a degree in Music Industry Studies with a concentration in Recording and Production. During her time at App State, she learned at RFG Studios, a multi-million dollar facility featuring multiple project and recording studios. She worked for the studio in roles such as a Concert Recording staff member, Manager and Lead Engineer for Live @ RFG, and in the summer of 2022 worked with a team of other classmates to install and operate a Dolby Atmos studio and an Avid S6 console.

Natalie started Brave Boy Productions in 2024 because she wanted a space to use what she learned in school to create high-quality audio/visual creations. The name Brave Boy comes from her two dogs Emmet and Winnie, who she lovingly refers to as her “brave boys”, even though both of them have chronic anxiety. Just like she does with her dogs, Natalie puts her heart and soul into the work she does and cares deeply about making cool art to put out into the world.

Currently, Natalie is continuing her singer-songwriter project with an upcoming full-length album. The first two singles for the project were produced and recoded in partnership with Mike Davidson at Plaid Dog Studios in Waltham, Massachusetts, and were released Jan 24th, 2025 along with a music video made entirely in house by Brave Boy Productions. The rest of the album is currently in production, and will hopefully be released fall of 2025.
